It's Not the Heat; It's the Humidity

If you are wondering about the crazy shifts in the comfort index with the weather in Valencia you just need to wet your finger, put it up in the air, and determine which way the wind is blowing. The westerly winds called poniente bring hot, arid air from the high plateau of central Spain. The easterly winds bring humid air from the Mediterranean. The other day the humidity went from a comfortable 12% to a sticky 81% in a matter of a couple of hours. I recommend a cold shower and either a cold beer or a gin and tonic.
