USA 0-4 Spain
Almost everyone except the 60 year old coach, Vicente Del Bosque, scored a goal yesterday in Spain’s rout over the USA squad in a friendly match in Boston. The Spanish trainer warned his players before the match that the Spanish team’s reputation was on the line in these games even though there are no points at stake. I think Spain’s reputation survived intact and then some. It was nice to see Fernando Torres score a goal as he hasn’t shown much greatness these days since moving to Chelsea, although true fans can never forget his winning goal in the 2008 Eurocopa final against Germany.
